The red hood and broken heart of Generation Z. Norwegian indie pop singer Marie Ulven aka girl in red will come to Prague to present her eagerly expected debut album If I Could Make It Go Quiet. The album was reworked during the pandemic year, and Ulven used all her time to dive deeper into herself and boldly open up topics such as sexual liberation, gender and mental health. “There are things on this album that I haven’t been able to talk about in my songwriting previously,” says Ulven of If I Could Make It Go Quiet. It’s an album brimming with the things we wish we could say to others, but tell ourselves instead. The first single Serotonin, co-produced by Finneas, is brutally honest, lyrically, especially about having these intrusive thoughts.
