Great news for all fans of chilled out music! Representative of a lovely mix of reggae, neo-soul, jazz, R&B, hip-hop, funk and folk, Patrice, is coming to Prague for the first time ever! His show is held on November 23 at Lucerna Music Bar and is part of Excelent Jukebox concert series organized by Gambrinus Excelent and Fource Entertainment. The tickets are available through Ticketpro network or through Facebook page of Fource Entertainment.

Patrice Babatunde Bart-Williams, or simply Patrice, is a son of Sierra-Leonean father and a German mother and is currently considered as one of the hottest music exports from Germany. Some of his songs will pique the interest of reggae fans, however, the singer and song-writer does not limit himself to one genre only. His own compositions are coloured with neo-soul, R&B, or even jazz, and are sung in English or Jamaican patois (slang language mixed by English and vernacular). Beautiful song Faces was put together with Selah Sue, the Belgian singer & song-writer so much loved by Czech fans. The song’s videoclip that was published in February this year and was shot mainly in Paris immediately raised the interest among Patrice’s fans who are long waiting for his first show here. Since early childhood, Patrice let himself be inspired with the likes of Bob Marley or Bob Dylan. He was never lazy in music: just as he started professional career, he toured as a support act of the amazing Lauryn Hill! He’s recorded 8 studio albums (and many EPs & singles!). The latest work, titled “The Rising of the Son,” should be Patrice’s self-reflection, bringing the sounds of Jamaica, Germany, France as well as the United Kingdom.

Certain cure for boring autumn evenings is a proper dose of some quality music from Patrice! Check out Excelent Jukebox concert series for more information about this and other upcoming events! You can get the tickets through Ticketpro network or via Fource Entertainment Facebook for 449.- CZK + fees.
