British singer Jessie Ware (28) switched her career from a pop-starlet into a full-blown soul-pop queen with a brilliant voice. She visits Czech Republic for the first time during her ongoing world tour on March 21 at Prague’s club Palác Akropolis.
As a small girl, Ware listened to the likes of Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald – and sang for the first time ever for any audience first verse of a Christmas carol when she was 10 years old. Music means for Ware one thing: pure emotions. Recently Ware published her debut album Devotion (UK Top 5), where you can hear some of the hits that occupy Czech radio wavelengths for sometime now; such as Running, 110% or Wildest Moments. Critics praise Ware that she considers music and music production of prime importance and that she does not quite want to be seen too much compared to other artists. Yet Ware isn’t afraid to add a little salt-and-pepper pop sound to her soul and R‘n’B classics. She isn’t afraid of hip-hop, either, creating an interesting cross-genre mesh. Some critics consider her as the missing piece between Adele, SBTRKT (DJ “subtract”) and Sade. Currently, Ware is on an international tour in USA, Australia, headed back to United Kingdom and – finally, continental Europe.
“Jessie’s album Devotion is our top-pick of this year. Jessie Ware is a fascinating artist. We are looking forward to the Prague show that will be mainly about music and emotions, as it should be,” said one of the promoters from Fource Entertainment.
Tickets are available through Ticketpro network. Make sure you book your tickets early to see the first Jessie Ware show in Czech Republic, March 21 @Palác Akropolis!
