London based quartet Wolf Alice charmed the audience with their single Fluffy at late 2013 for the first time. Their main influences are folk, pop, rock and grunge. Focus on lyrics and vocals is taken from folk, joy and ease from pop, sense for gradation and show from rock and unleashed energy and loser image from grunge. Single Blush is a great example. Lyrics about how important is to be satisfied with yourself, memorable refrain, gradation from slow balad to monumental guitar riffs all mixed with fragile female vocal. Extremely emotional and catchy song is the result of this combination. There is no wonder that Wolf Alice has been compared to bands like Hole or The xx.
Very similar approach is used for the debut album My Love Is Cool which was awaited for long two years. The waiting brought it’s fruits – the music is mature, no haste but still no calculation. The album is so good that it reached the Billboard top 10 list for alternative music.
Strong side of Wolf Alice is live show which brings the music to another level. This is confirmed by fans visiting festivals and sold out clubs all around the world. There are many expectations for the first Prague show. Wolf Alice is simply one of the bands, that will create the music trends for upcoming years. The tickets for Prague gig are already in sale.
