Multigenre Belgian star Selah Sue is in the Czech Republic almost at home. All her past shows were sold out and now she is returning with two shows in a row. First one will take place in Roxy, Prague, on May 3rd and second one in Sono Centrum, Brno, a day later on May 4th as a part of Excelent Jukebox series. Presale for both shows starts on Friday March 21st via fource.cz, GoOut.cz and Ticketpro. Tickets are available for 650 and 750 CZK.
Selah Sue is an artist who is not afraid to cross genres. Her music on debut album Selah Sue is wonderful mixture of soul, funk, jazz and reggae. She added influence from contemporary urban music, trip hop and house on her recent album called Reason. This may look chaotic but Selah Sue’s mighty vocal is joining all these influences in one piece that is simply amazing. Her music is so strong that even big names as Prince, CeeLo Green or Robin Hannibal are spreading word about her. And it was Robin Hannibal, Kendrick Lamar’s producer, who was working on Selah Sue’s last album as well and helped her to find original sound that is innovative yet not experimental without purpose. Regardless Selah Sue’s music seems complicated, the young artist is able to perform it live with drive and never ending energy. All previous club and festival shows proved that already.
