For the first time ever in Czech Republic, Malcolm “Mac Miller” McCormick (20) will rhyme about girls, partying and drinking in Roxy, Prague, on a hot Friday night on June 29.
As a multitalented freestyle rapper who learned to play bass, guitar, keyboards and drums all by himself at a very young age, and a young novice of the freestyle/cipher/battle circuit of his hometown Pittsburgh, Miller has been continuously paving his way to superstardom together with his close friend and “homie,” Wiz Khalifa. His debut LP Blue Slide Park (Rostrum Records, 2011) sold over 60.000 copies digitally alone. This LP already reached #3 overall on the iTunes Albums Chart just from pre-orders. Miller already sold over a million singles in total. “Miller became the first independent artist in more than 15 years to top the Billboard albums chart. That’s impressive for a 20-year-old rapper with no guest appearances or hit singles on his record, and it feels even more significant because Blue Slide Park is the kind of old-school-at-heart rap album,” says Evan Rytlewski in his review. Fource Entertainment, the show promoter, remarks: “His popularity is due to the fact that a large number of youngsters recognize themselves in his songs. Miller is already – at such a young age – a real entertainer. He delivers amazing live performances. Be ready for a hot & sweaty show!”
The Blue Slide Park Tour and Mac Miller are making a stop in Prague on Friday, June 29 at ROXY (Dlouha 33, Prague 1). Confirmed local support band: Paulie Garand (DJ + MC) 7:30 – 8:15 pm.
Please note that the show will be over at 10pm due to a regular club night. The tickets are available through Ticketpro. Ticket price 530.- CZK plus ticketing commission.
