Fink returns to Czech this fall Prague, July 3rd — It seems that British songwriter Fink likes the Czech Republic a lot. After a sold-out show in MeetFactory, he will be back for one more performance this year. Ongoing tour called Hard Believer is stopping in the Czech Republic twice, with first show in Prague’s Roxy on November 9 and second one in Fléda in Brno day after. Presale starts on July 7 at 10 am via GoOut.cz and Ticketpro.cz.
Fin Greenall aka Fink has been showing for a few years now that songwriting comes in many disguises – electronic, ambient, blues or folk. The last record Hard Believer was released on the R’COUP’D imprint, a label newly created by Greenall. Besides him on vocals/guitar, band is formed by Tim Thornton on drums/guitar, and Guy Whittaker on bass. Hard Believer, sixth studio album, is a masterful collection of songs from an artist at the peak of his creative powers. “We wanted to go deeper this time, and be more ambitious with the music,” Fin explains, “to move the sound forward without losing touch of where we’re from.” Following the success of Hard Believer, the band rang in 2015 with the release of Horizontalism presented as a collection of dubs from Hard Believer. Inspired by Greenall’s new home in Berlin and his resurgent interest in electronic production, his series of mixes may stand in stark contrast to the band’s musical output of the past years, but the listener finds themselves at the same intersection of impassioned storytelling, manifest emotion and darkly beautiful ambience that Fink fans have come to expect.
Freak folk band She Drew The Gun from England will support Fink on his tour this fall. They will perform November 9th in Roxy, Prague and in Fléda, Brno day after. It will be first chance to see fresh new BBC 6 discovery in Czech Republic. She Drew The Gun is a new rising star on the freak folk sky, burning brightly and quickly. Their gigs are like falling through rabbit hole. They tell normal life stories in magical scenes of enhanced reality. What a great support for Fink.
