One of the biggest discoveries of the British indie scene of 2013 – The 1975 – completely sold out its first show in Prague in 2013. Now they are coming back to unleash their guitar whirlwind blended with catchy pop tunes at Meetfactory on October 21! Show is part of the band’s largest world tour up-to-date! Tickets will be sold via Ticketpro and promoter’s Facebook starting June 18.

After 4 EPs, the art-pop four-piece finally released their debut album “The 1975” last year, much to a wide critical acclaim. They supported Muse and even The Rolling Stones on their tours. All this just to beat every other band, including Nine Inch Nails’ new album, debuting at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and mesmerizing reviewers and music fans alike. Despite of being catapulted among prominent bands, they still maintain reason and are not willing to make any compromises in their music.

All the members were 14-15 years of age when the formation came together in 2002 as a contest band, playing cover versions of famous songs. Soon after they all realized that making music is much more pleasant than an office job, and the decision was clear the moment they discovered their boundless love for (synth)pop aesthetics of the 80’s. They did not let the difficulties of the music industry nor sceptical labels discourage them – thankfully! That’s why you can enjoy their music in Prague! Do not hesitate and come to MeetFactory on Tuesday, October 21! Tickets available via Ticketpro and Fource Entertainment Facebook for 495 CZK + fees.
