South-African band SEETHER is coming for the first time ever to Czech Republic to perform at Prague’s club Roxy on November 10. Tickets are available through Ticketpro network from August 7.

Seether exists officially since 2002, although the band has previously released an album under a different name (Saron Gar). Allegedly their label made them change the name after the 9/11 attacks. The critics categorize their music as post-grunge or alternative rock-metal. Their compositions are reminiscent of the likes of Nirvana or Alice in Chains, slightly abraded and more evolved. Seether are singer and guitarist Shaun Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart and drummer John Humphrey. The band has recorded six studio albums and is currently working on their seventh one.

Leader of the band, Morgan, is known for his admiration of Kurt Cobain and uses the original sound of Nirvana as inspiration for Seether’s own work. The sound of the band is also influenced by Deftones or Nine Inch Nails.

“We really like Seether’s positive attitude towards Nirvana, which you can feel in their music, but it’s not a lame copy, it’s just that their work is inspired by Nirvana and Cobain. The band has its unique sound, in their home country they are absolute darlings and we’re very happy to be able to introduce Seether to Czech audiences,“ said one of the representatives of promoting agency Fource Entertainment.

Don’t miss Seether’s first show in Czech republic – November 10 at Roxy, Prague! Tickets are available through Ticketpro network from August 7 onwards. Ticket price 550.- CZK.
