American duo Twenty One Pilots will perform in Prague Lucerna Music Bar on February 5th 2016. During their first Czech visit ever, they will introduce their brand new album Blurryface. Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 9th at 10 AM via GoOut.cz and Ticketpro for 550 CZK each. The show is a part of Excelent Jukebox series.
The duo, which initially formed in 2009 in Ohio, released two albums on their own (Twenty One Pilots and Regional At Best) and continued with their Fueled By Ramen debut Vessel. The album landed in the Billboard Top 200 and at No. 15 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart, and has sold over 300,000 copies. To support the album, Twenty One Pilots embarked on a series of headlining tours that took them to over 325 shows worldwide. They performed at festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza or Summersonic and supported bands like Fall Out Boy, Neon Trees or Walk The Moon.
The latest album Blurryface was released this May. It immediately rose to the top of American charts and fought its way into the European charts as well. The duo worked in various studios around Los Angeles with Mike Elizondo (Dr.Dre, Eminem) or Mike Crossey (Keane, Foals, Jake Bugg, Kooks). Blurryface is an excursion across musical genres – it mixes hip hop, pop, rock, reggae with other styles. “I’ve never wanted to make something where people can predict what happens next,” says Tyler. They both promise that Blurryface is an extraordinary experience also live. “Each song is modeled for the live show. It makes it even more fun to see how people are going to respond and how they’re going to enjoy the music,” adds Josh. It looks like there is a lot to look forward to in February.
