Swae Lee has built an inimitable musical universe, and he’s done it all before officially dropping his debut album. There are caveats; Rae Sremmurd, his duo alongside brother Slim Jxmmi, remains one of the most influential rap groups of the 21st century. Their 2018 album, SR3MM, was situated like OutKast’s Speakerboxx/The Love Below, with each brother handling their own side of the album. In some ways, Swae’s contribution, Swaecation, was a debut, but he’s finally all by himself on his wildly anticipated 2026 opus, SAME DIFFERENCE.

With over a decade of influence behind him, both as one half of Rae Sremmurd and through his work across the industry, Swae arrives with a solo debut that reflects an impact already firmly established. He helped carry French Montana’s Diamond-certified Unforgettable, and was an integral part of the writing team behind Beyoncé’s Formation. His biggest song to date, the Post Malone Grammy-nominated collaboration, Sunflower, became the first-ever track to be certified 2x Diamond by the RIAA. Additionally, it’s accrued over four billion streams on Spotify alone. On top of that, Swae helped Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode earn its Diamond certification.
