Pop Messe feat. Oklou, Overmono a další

6. - 8. 8. 26Velodrom, Brno

Oklou
A beautiful hypnosis, a disturbing dream we still don’t really want to wake up from. French musician Oklou (yes, we all now know it’s pronounced “OK‑Lou”) released her debut album Choke Enough this year, but she had already worked with FKA twigs, Shygirl, as well as names like Sega Bodega and Dua Lipa. Her subtle yet striking songs have also brought her on tour with Caroline Polachek and Lorde. We’re choking on joy, just the right amount. This is the pop of the future.

Overmono
Captivating engineers of UK bass music, duo Overmono have tracks with Fred Again and a thumbs‑up from Thom Yorke under their belt; their take on electronics shows a deep knowledge of the genre’s history – and, above all, an infectious love for it. “A perfect distillation of UK rave history,” wrote The Guardian about their debut Good Lies. Tested by Coachella and Primavera – good evening, Brno!

Boko Yout
Dr. Gusto prescribes Afro‑grunge. The story of this Swedish band is a story of success that might look unlikely on paper, but after a moment of seeing them live, it feels completely obvious. Raw rock energy, cross‑genre colours, unstoppable drive – Viagra Boys took them along on tour, and now they’re bringing their riot to the Velodrom.

Jadu Heart
Beautiful dreaming. Duo Jadu Heart have tried a lot – from touring with Fontaines D.C. to an album inspired by Lost in Translation – but one thing never leaves them: the urge to make atmospheric music that instantly sparks the imagination. The mood of that first summer after a breakup? An invitation into a lived‑in bedroom, or a wide‑open landscape that helps you breathe again? Diva‑Sachy Jeffrey and Alex Headford can do it all. And beautifully.

Hey Yendo & Rainer
How do tie‑dye T‑shirts get along with hard beats and a straight‑to‑the‑point message? Can you do crazy stuff sober and still smile while you’re at it? Hey Yendo and producer Rainer (who’s also worked with artists like Princip) cook up music that’s both gentle and uncompromising – a bit of rap, a bit of hyperpop, and a lot of colour. Music as medicine against pain. Because one smile is not enough!
