Marathon is a band forged by the raw intensity of Amsterdam’s underground scene, fusing post-punk’s edge, shoegaze’s atmosphere, and indie into a world where sound and emotion fuse together. Their music captures the anxieties of the 21st century, on stage their sound evolves into a wall of sound that balances darkness with the promise of new beginnings.

With over 200 shows in the past three years, Marathon has built an unmistakable live reputation defined by intensity and total commitment. That live energy remains the starting point in 2026. This fall, Marathon will be trying out new music during a limited amount of shows before heading back into the studio to record their next album.
