Kikuo

14. 3. 26ARCHA+, Praha

Japanese electronic artist Kikuo creates music that is both dazzling and disorienting, sweet melodies layered with darker undertones. He began sharing original songs online in the early 2000s, and found his distinctive voice in 2010  through the use of Vocaloid, a singing-synthesizer software best known for characters like Hatsune Miku. Since then, he has become one of the most influential figures in the Vocaloid world, known for his imaginative sound and emotionally charged compositions.

His breakout hit Aishite Aishite Aishite became the first Vocaloid song to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify, with many other tracks also amassing millions of plays worldwide. In 2024, Kikuo became the first Vocaloid producer to complete a full-scale world tour, and now he hits the road once again, with a Prague stop scheduled.
