British singer and composer IAMX is coming to Brno as part of his Metanoia tour. He will present his breathtaking audiovisual show on March 7th in Fléda. Presale starts on Monday January 11th at 10 AM for 490 CZK via GoOut.cz and Ticketpro.
IAMX is solo project of Chris Corner, who became well known as a member of British trip hop group Sneaker Pimps. He began solo career eleven years ago with his debut album Kiss+Swallow. The aesthetics of the music project is given since these days. It’s based on noir disheartening atmosphere and almost theatrically tensed moments. The music rises from cold electronics having its roots in legends of electronic music (Depeche Mode or The Cure) but also referring to gothic rock bands like Lacrimosa. The third album Kingdom of Welcome Addiction was born in Turmwerk, Berlin. This place should be Warhol Factory of our days – a place where all the art genres meet, melt and create new reality. IAMX became complex art project where the music is merged with photography, video and performance. First spark from upcoming album Metanoia called Happiness enlightened the world June 19th 2015. IAMX moved to Los Angeles to record and this brought new creative stimulation. The whole album is recorded by IAMX himself, without members of his band. It is far more personal and focused compared to previous albums.
The release of new album is accompanied by European tour with a stop in Fléda, Brno on March 7th 2016.
