Danish pianist and singer-songwriter Agnes Obel is coming back to Prague. She will bring her latest, critically acclaimed album Citizen of Glass, to Palac Akropolis on May 26th 2017. Standing floor tickets (890 czk) and seated balcony tickets (990 czk) go on sale on Friday, February 3rd, at 10am via fource.cz, palacakropolis.cz, GoOut and Ticketpro.
She attracted attention with her debut album Philharmonics (2010), a collection of airy vocals and piano melodies. Berlin-based artist released her third album Citizen of Glass last year focusing on instrumentation and its possibilities. She created a record, conceptually stronger than earlier works, considered by many as Obel’s most ambitious piece. Citizen of Glass takes its title from German Gläserner Bürger, a legal term referring to the level of privacy we have in the world today. “The idea that we’re meant to tell everyone the stories of our inner and outer lives, to publish them online, to be completely open and transparent, and how big a change that is for us all as human beings. That subject is fascinating to me,” describes Obel.
